ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS

STUDENT MEMBERSHIP :
(Effective Janaury 1, 2007)
Student membership is the entry level of membership in the Institute. While Student members may provide technical assistance or other support functions, they are not permitted to sign reports and will not be eligible for liability insurance. This member category is being introduced in tandem wit the new admission requirements for Candidates on January 1, 2007.

A $50 rebate will be provided to Student members for successful completion of each eligible UBC course taken, up to a maximum of two courses per year. In addition, the national portion of membership dues will be waived for student members who are enrolled full-time as a student in a recognized post-secondary institution OR who are enrolled in the AIC program of Professional studies on a full time basis (30 credits per academic year.)



CANDIDATE MEMBERSHIP:
Candidate Membership shall only be granted to applicants who:

•  Have successfully completed the We Value Canada Workshop; and
•  Have successfully completed Foundations in Real Estate Appraisal (BUSI 330 or approved equivalent); and
•  Hold a university degree at the undergraduate level or higher;

OR


•  Have successfully completed the We Value Canada Workshop; and
• Have successfully completed Foundations in Real Estate Appraisal (BUSI 330 or approved equivalent); and
•  Have completed all curriculum requirements for the AACI, P.App designation, less 10 courses;

Upon admission to the Institute, the candidate must complete the mandatory Standards Seminar within 24 months of their date of joining.
