DESIGNATIONS

A qualified appraiser is recognized by the AACI, P.App or CRA designations awarded by the Appraisal Institute of Canada to members who successfully complete a rigorous course of studies in all aspects of real estate valuation, and meet other educational and experience requirements.

AACI, P.App (Accredited Appraiser Canadian Institute) designates fully accredited membership in the Institute and may be used by the holder in connection with the appraisal of a wide range of property types.

CRA (Canadian Residential Appraiser) designates members qualified in the appraisal and valuation of individual undeveloped residential dwelling sites up to dwellings containing not more than four self-contained family housing units.

P. App (Professional Appraiser) may only be used by accredited members and must immediately follow the AACI, P.App designation (for example: Jane Doe, AACI, P.App).

To achieve these designations, you must have a blend of general and specific education and relevant valuation experience.
