Code of Ethics & Canadian Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice
Institute members are governed by a Code of Ethics & the Canadian Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (the Standards), which establish a minimum standard of performance in the rendering of professional services & inspires public confidence in the Appraisal Institute designations.
Relations with Government, Related organizations and the Public
The SK Association of the Appraisal Institute of Canada monitors provincial Government affairs of interest to members and has an effective presence in Regina, in order to be pro-active with government on important issues.
Network & Fellowship
The chance to meet with and learn from one's colleagues is an essential component of the development of every professional. Provincial association meetings, seminars, bi-annual conferences, as well as the National annual conference provide a forum for networking and fellowship.
Continuing Professional Development
Opportunities for all members to continue their professional development are offered through national and provincial conferences and seminars. The Association informs its members about mandatory Continuing Professional Program offerings and other events hosted through sister organizations.
Professional Liability Insurance Program
The Institute provides its members with professional liability insurance coverage for errors and omissions in the performance of the services for which they are qualified by the Institute. This coverage is mandatory for all members.
Group Insurance
A group insurance program is available to Institute members at very competitive rates. The program includes dental and extended health insurance, general life, disability and business expense disability insurance. Each plan can be specifically designed to suit the needs of the member and pooled to ensure the best possible benefits and premiums.
