The University of British Columbia, Real Estate Division administers the Institute's English Language Demonstration Appraisal Report Program.
The writing of the demonstration appraisal reports tests the candidate's ability to apply appraisal theory in a practical situation. Demonstration Appraisal Reports must be prepared in accordance with the rules of professional conduct of the Appraisal Institute of Canada as outlined in the Standards.
The Institute produces guidebooks for the preparation of single family residential, income producing, and agricultural appraisal reports, which should be obtained prior to choosing and registering the subject property. These guidebooks are available through the Real Estate Division of UBC.
Detailed information on Demonstration Appraisal Reports, as well as an Application to Register a Subject Property, can be accessed directly from the Real Estate Division's web site or by contacting Jenny Kong at the Real Estate Division by phone.
