THE STANDARDS SEMINAR

Institute members are governed by a Code of Ethics & the Canadian Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (the Standards). The Standards establish a minimum standard of performance in the rendering of professional services & inspires public confidence in the Appraisal Institute designations.

Members must complete the Standards at several intervals in their appraisal career:
It is a requirement to become a Candidate member with the Appraisal Institute of Canada
It is a professional requirement that must be met in order to achieve a designation with the Institute
Current policy states that all designated members must complete the Standards seminar during each Continuing Professional Development cycle (currently the length of the cycle is five years)

The Standards are also revised annually, and members may obtain a copy of these revisions from our site or the National site.

The Standards seminar is offered from time to time in Saskatchewan in a classroom setting, usually in either Saskatoon or Regina. It is also offered via distance learning from our National office in Ottawa.

Please contact the Association office about upcoming sessions near you.
